THE ARC CARROLL COUNTY INC is Hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Community Living (Weekends Only) Near Westminster, MD

Description

Starting Pay $17.00/hour plus $2.00 PER HOUR SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL FOR WEEKEND SHIFTS! 

Plus $500 HIRING BONUS PAID WITHIN 90 DAYS*

Become a DSP (Community Living Assistant) with The Arc Carroll County! A job where you will make a difference in people's lives every day and love doing it!

What you would do as a DSP in Community Living: Support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their individual pursuit of a fulfilling life by working as part of a team in a small residential home setting. You would support residents with life skills and household tasks such as meal planning and preparation, laundry and light housework; as well as assist with personal care, administer medications, and provide transportation as needed.

When you would work: We are interviewing DSP candidates to cover a variety of shifts (full-time, part-time or PRN) throughout the weekends. Available shifts include:

  • Fridays: 3pm – 11pm
  • Saturdays: 12am-9am , 8am-4pm, 9am-3pm, 3pm-11pm
  • Sundays: 12am-9am, 8am-4pm, 9am-3pm, 3pm-11am

Where you would work: A lovely residential home in Taneytown or Westminster.

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license with no more than 2 current points on record
  • Basic computer and keyboarding skills
  • Clean drug screen and criminal record (The Arc provides programs, services, and direct care to vulnerable adults)
  • The ability to successfully pass a drug screening
  • The ability to complete CPR,First Aid, Certified Medication Technician, and other trainings mandated by the Developmental Disabilities Administration and The Arc
