We are in need of a Veterinary Assistant at The Animal Eye Institute of Florence, Kentucky.

• This office is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
• Additional days/ hours are available in our Mason office Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays if wanted.
• Candidate must be able to lift 50lbs, handle medications, and be exposed to radiography.

Our Veterinary Assistants are responsible for the care of our patients including but not limited to:

• Animal restraint for blood draws and examinations
• Performing initial clinical tests to the eyes
• Providing exceptional client service
• Filling medications and client communication
• Assisting for surgical procedures
• Preparing exam rooms for appointments
• Cleaning of surgical instrumentation
• Restocking medical supplies, sweeping, mopping, etc.
• Light paperwork
• Maintenance of in-house patients (feeding, walking, cleaning, etc.)
