We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Saw Operator to join our team. As a Saw Operator, you will be responsible for operating sawing equipment to cut various materials, such as wood, metal, or plastic, according to project specifications and quality standards. Your precision and knowledge of different sawing techniques will contribute to the efficient and accurate production of materials for our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and calibrate sawing equipment, ensuring proper alignment and functionality.
• Review work orders and blueprints to determine cutting specifications and requirements.
• Select appropriate saw blades and adjust cutting parameters based on material type, thickness, and desired outcome.
• Position and secure materials on the saw table or in jigs/fixtures for accurate and safe cutting.
• Operate the sawing equipment, monitoring the cutting process to ensure precise and smooth cuts.
• Make adjustments to the saw settings as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Inspect the cut materials for accuracy, identifying and addressing any defects or irregularities.
• Measure and record dimensions of cut materials, maintaining accurate production records.
• Clean and maintain the sawing equipment, performing regular inspections and maintenance tasks.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Saw Operator or similar role.
• Knowledge of different types of sawing equipment, such as circular saws, band saws, or table saws.
• Familiarity with sawing techniques, including crosscutting, ripping, mitering, and beveling.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and cutting specifications.
• Proficiency in using measurement tools, such as rulers, calipers, and tape measures.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in measuring and cutting materials.
• Physical stamina and strength to handle and move heavy materials.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
