Reports to: Store Manager

Summary:

The Assistant Manager will assist the Store Manager in the overall management and operation of the retail store. They will contribute to maximizing sales and profitability while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. The Assistant Manager will supervise and support the store staff, help with staff training and development, and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

As part of our Store Management team, everything you do has a specific purpose that links productivity to business results in your store. 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Support the Store Manager in daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory management
  • Assist in achieving sales targets, monitor sales performance, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  •  Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  •  Supervise and support store staff, ensuring they have the necessary resources, training, and tools to perform their roles effectively.
  •  Assist in recruiting, training, and developing team members, fostering a positive work environment and enhancing employee engagement.
  •  Maintain store appearance and cleanliness standards, ensuring visual merchandising is effectively executed.
  •  Assist in implementing marketing and promotional initiatives to drive foot traffic and increase sales.
  • Monitor and analyze sales and inventory reports to identify trends, optimize product assortment, and minimize shrinkage.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop and implement operational procedures, policies, and guidelines to ensure efficiency and compliance.
  •  Monitor adherence to company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols, and take action to address any violations.
  •  Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and multitask effectively.
  • Above average written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and multitask while working on a team or independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to identify opportunities, recommend solutions, make or influence decisions.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required. 
  • Prior experience in retail sales or customer service, with a minimum of 1-2 years of supervisory or team leadership
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with both customers and staff.

  • Lifting and carrying up to 10 pounds
  • Pushing and pulling 4-6 pounds or force
  • Standing 80% of the time
  • Repetitive use of the hands -70% of the time
  • Reaching overhead -20% of the time
  • Pushing and pulling -30% of the time

  • Grasping items with hands -70% of the time
