Job Description

At Texas State Optical in Schertz, our Opticians not only aspire to always provide our visitors with an exceptional shopping experience, but are the faces of what we stand for. We want every patient we see to have a unique and personal relationship with their optician and leave with a visit they can feel good about. Your role as an Optician will be to drive performance, build relationships, and treat every shopper with expertise and honesty.

What you’ll do:

  • Work as part of our team to ensure that all patients receive the best service from the time they walk in, their pre-exam, and throughout their shopping and purchasing experience.
  • Work as a style consultant and help customers choose the best glasses for their lifestyle and face type.
  • Explain eyewear and prescription terminology in a relatable manner to customers.
  • Act as an ambassador for our brand and values by displaying a professional image and attitude to all we come in contact with.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of our product lines to be able to accurately describe the various features and advantages of the individual frames.

  • Genuinely friendly and passionate about customer service
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining a calm and poised attitude.
  • Excited about making people happy, always doing your best to go above and beyond a customer’s expectations.
  • Able to confidently make decisions on your own without supervision

Requirements:

  • Optical experience is not necessary, but prefer experience in sales
  • High school or equivalent
  • Available to work Saturdays
