Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association is Hiring a Director of Compliance and Governance Near Fort Worth, TX

DIRECTOR OF COMPLIANCE AND GOVERNANCE

The Director of Compliance and Governance has the primary responsibility to ensure the Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA) and its related entities adhere to their governance structure and adopt and follow best compliance practices.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist with the preparation of meeting agendas and recording of minutes for governing bodies of TSCRA and its related entities.
  • Serve as record keeper of bylaws, agendas, minutes, compliance documents, and other documents for TSCRA, its related entities, and governing boards.
  • Maintain and ensure document accuracy and consistency across TSCRA and its related entities.
  • Send out meeting notifications and materials to governing bodies of TSCRA and its related entities.
  • Prepare meeting binders and materials for TSCRA officers for Cattle Raisers Convention, Summer Meeting, end of year meetings, and other meetings as necessary.
  • File compliance reports for TSCRA Political Action Committees.
  • Distribute and collect ethics forms from the TSCRA Board of Directors.
  • Prepare and distribute board director nomination information for the TSCRA Nominating Committee.
  • File, renew, and keep record of trademark filings for TSCRA and its related entities.

ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Regularly document and track terms of leaders serving on all governing bodies of TSCRA and its related entities, including TSCRA policy and program committees.
  • Prepare and distribute service appointment notifications to TSCRA leaders.
  • Develop and maintain governance, policy, and program committee purpose, jurisdiction, roles, and responsibilities summary documents.
  • Be the lead on TSCRA policy and program committee open enrollment and facilitate TSCRA director involvement in the process.
  • Develop and maintain leader contact roster and leader directory (blue book).
  • Maintain list of Texas Beef Council, Cattlemen’s Beef Board, and National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA) board members and representatives.
  • Be point of contact for TSCRA officers for meeting and travel arrangements.
  • Coordinate new TSCRA director orientation annually.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to work in the Fort Worth office.
  • Must be able to work during customary workday/work week and other days as needed.
  • Must be able to travel as needed.
  • Exceptional confidentiality and integrity skills.
  • Exceptional communication, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional project management ability and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent follow-up skills.
  • Proactive attitude with ability to anticipate needs, problems and opportunities.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be willing to consent to a background check.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Four-year college degree from an accredited college or university
  • Completion of necessary training and/or certifications
  • Experience as a paralegal, C-suite admin, office manager or other similar role preferred.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Reports to Executive Director of Finance and Human Resources.

JOB STATUS: Exempt – full time

COMPENSATION BASIS: Salary, benefits package
