Texas Regional Bank is Hiring a Regional Community Engagement Director Near Dallas, TX

Position Summary
The Regional Community Engagement Officer (RCEO) leads and executes brand awareness and corporate giving strategies in coordination with Region and Division leadership. The RCEO serves as the subject matter expert for regional philanthropy, aligning the region’s philanthropic investments and civic sponsorships with the bank’s mission and values. Responsibilities include the oversight, planning, and implementation of regional community outreach, not-for-profit and civic sponsorships, media relations, as well as internal and external event management. Role is also responsible for the management and development of direct reports. The RCEO will be the local subject matter expert in five core areas:
  • Community engagement
  • Philanthropic investment
  • Local media strategy
  • Regional communications
  • Executive project and event management
  • Community engagement: Develop and execute the community and employee engagement strategy with Region and Division leadership. Source and foster relationships with media and nonprofit organizations. Ensure sponsorships and civic investments are impactful, well-attended, aligned with corporate mission and values, and drive revenue.
  • Philanthropic investment: Manage the regional philanthropic strategy including not-for-profit partnership selection, civic and philanthropic board engagement, volunteerism, and philanthropic and business promotion budget management in coordination with Region and Division leadership.
  • Local media strategy: Establish and manage local media partnerships. Track and monitor return on investment (ROI) for local ads, sponsorships, and events. Manage event execution and ensure sponsorship agreement requirements are met. Organize branding at all events, including sponsor-level benefits, and engage Regional and Division leadership to amplify internal engagement and maximize attendance.
  • Regional communications: Develop the regional communication strategy and schedule. Drive an active social media presence. Write and distribute regional announcements, event invitations, event recaps, and other region-specific content. Review and oversee local employee communications. Ensure communication efforts leverage company expertise and position employees as effective brand ambassadors.
  • Executive project management: Partner with Region and Division leadership to execute region-specific events, strategies, tactics, and other projects as needed.
Other Responsibilities
  • Represent the bank through civic leadership roles.
  • Collaborate regularly with internal partners and executives across the organization.
  • Support and promote the bank vision, mission and core values, organizational structure and policies and procedures.
  • Provide strong and visible leadership, which fosters positive attitudes and trust among colleagues, customers, and prospects.
  • Comply with federal and state regulations as well as all established bank policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business and/or commensurate work experience required.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in commercial banking business development, sales and/or sales management in the banking/financials industry. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will also be considered.
  • Thorough knowledge of commercial banking products and services.
  • Established network in the local community.
  • Strong organizational, sales, and analytical skills to assess and evaluate prospective client financial profile.
  • Persuasive communication and influencing skills for establishing credibility with partners, clients, and executives.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills with proven ability to work well under pressure.
  • Must be able to be physically present in the Bank to perform job duties.
