Position: Program Administrator [261] COPSD and MH Docket

Program: Amarillo, Texas - Co-Occurring Psychiatric and Substance Use Disorders (COPSD) & Mental Health Docket

Salary: $58,822.40 - $62,545.60 Annually

Shift available: Full-time

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Staff will maintain ethical and professional communications at all times using respectful Trauma-Informed Care language
  • The Program Administrator will serve as the team lead for a team of providers dedicated to working with people who are involved in the justice system
  • The clients can be in a jail setting or newly released and eligible for specialty courts
  • These individuals will be diagnosed with co-occurring psychiatric and substance use disorders (COPSD) or a serious mental illness (SMI)
  • The people served in the justice involved programs will be enrolled in the SB 292 grant or in the Mental Health Docket program
  • The Program Administrator will provide direct supervision for all the providers within these programs
  • The Program Administrator will be responsible for developing processes for coordinating recovery plans, participation in courts and receiving services within jails in compliance with grant requirements
  • This position will develop processes to assist with identification of candidates at the initial municipal or county arraignments and will assist with the C.C.P 16.22 process for early initiation of behavioral health treatment and advocacy with the diversion courts
  • This position will train providers to offer groups, care coordination, case management, crisis intervention, and all other treatment practices consistent with best practices, agency standards and grant requirements
  • The model of care provided will be in alignment with the principals of a Certified Community Behavioral Health Center program
  • Treatment efforts will concentrate on building natural supports from the least restrictive environment
  • The Program Administrator will be responsible for attending meetings associated with the grants, coordinating care with community stakeholders, developing policies and procedures in the programs and data submission
  • Coverage for provision of treatment will be required in addition to program administrative responsibilities
  • Adheres to TPC Business Code of Conduct and reports concerns if ethical and/or business standards defined in the code are compromised

Required qualifications to be successful in the job:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with a major in psychology, sociology, social work, counseling, or other related human services field for QMHP credentialing
  • Two (2) years experience of behavioral health case management
  • Two (2) years of supervision experience
  • Graduate work in a related field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of experience
  • Must have a valid Texas driver's license and be insurable under agency vehicle policy
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Preferred qualifications to be successful in the job:

  • Master's degree in a human services field
  • Experience working in a forensic or behavioral health setting
  • Social work or psychology degree
  • Experience as a supervisor in a mental health team setting
