Position: Case Manager II-III Family & Youth Specialist [301]

Program: Amarillo, Texas - Family Support Specialist (FSS)

Salary range:

Case Manager II: $43,305.60 Annually

Case Manager III: $46,009.60 Annually

Shift available: Full-time

Essential duties and responsibilities of the Family & Youth Specialist:

  • Family & Youth Specialist will maintain ethical and professional communications at all times using respectful Trauma-Informed Care language
  • Serves as a Family Support Specialist for TPC's Family and Youth Success Program (formally known as STAR Program) providing direct care to family and youth
  • Prevention and early intervention position that will be responsible for screening and assessment, crisis intervention, family and individual curriculum based sessions, skills training, and community outreach
  • Will provide services in a variety of settings including home, school, and community
  • Will be providing family and youth based services in Amarillo and be willing to travel to the regional areas of the Texas Panhandle as needed
  • Adheres to TPC Business Code of Conduct and reports concerns if ethical and/or business standards defined in the code are compromised

Required qualifications of the Family & Youth Specialists to be successful in the job:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with a major in psychology, sociology, social work, counseling, or other related human services field
  • Minimum one (1) year work experience directly working with at-risk youth and families
  • For Case Manager II, minimum one (1) year experience of behavioral health case management
  • For Case Manager III, minimum two (2) years experience of behavioral health case management
  • Graduate work in a related field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of experience
  • Must have a valid Texas driver's license and be insurable under agency vehicle policy
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Preferred qualifications of the Family & Youth Specialist to be successful in the job:

  • Bilingual
  • Licensure
