Position Description: In collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team, the ICU Registered Nurse plays a pivotal role in assessing, planning, implementing, and coordinating treatment plans. As a key member of our interdependent team, you will hold responsibility for achieving positive patient and departmental outcomes. This is a full-time, night shift position in our 26-bed, state-of-the-art Medical ICU. 🌙

What You Will Do in This Role: Responsibilities

• 👩‍⚕️ Understand patients with critical illness and vent management.
• 🚨 Ability to respond to Code Blue within the facility and initiate protocol, special procedures, and cardiac monitoring.
• 📋 Manage efficient flow of patients, including screening, exam preparation, general nursing care, and testing and admissions coordination.
• 📚 Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• 📈 Maintain and review patients’ records, including posting tests and examination results.
• 💉 Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
• 🏥 Check rooms daily for necessary supplies.
• 📞 Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls, including phone triage when needed.

Qualifications:

• 👩‍🎓 Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required.
• 📜 Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state where you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
• 🩺 Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification is required.
• ⚕️ Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Health Care Provider certification is preferred and required to be obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer date. 🌟 Prior ICU nursing experience is strongly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:

💰 Competitive Salary:

• Minimum: $28.23 per hour
• Mid: $35.29 per hour
• Maximum: $42.35 per hour

🚚 Relocation Assistance:

• $5,000 for distances over 250 miles
• $2,500 for distances over 50 miles
• 💼 Generous $10,000 Sign-On Bonus

🌃 Shift Differentials:

• Nights: $5 per hour
• Weekends: $10 per hour
