Texas Medical & Surgical Associates is Hiring a surgery scheduler/administrative-medical assistant Near Dallas, TX

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Surgery Scheduler to join our healthcare team. The Surgery Scheduler will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling surgical procedures, ensuring efficient communication between patients, medical staff, and insurance providers.

Duties:
- Schedule surgeries and procedures accurately and efficiently
- Coordinate pre-operative appointments, tests, and clearances
- Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
- Communicate pre-operative instructions to patients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date surgical schedules
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure optimal patient care
- Handle patient inquiries regarding surgery scheduling

Skills:
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft or similar practice management software
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical records management
- Experience in medical scheduling, preferably in a surgical setting
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist is beneficial
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of phone systems for effective communication
