Texas Liver Institute/Texas Liver Consultants is seeking a full-time nurse to work in our Austin clinic.

This position coordinates all activities to provide care and services to patients with liver disease. Duties include assessing referrals, clinic visits, processing orders, attaining results, and scheduling visits as needed. The position requires the nurse to have a combination of office and clinic hours.

There are no weekends and no on call requirements for this position.

Job Summary: We are seeking strong, independent nurse to provide adequate care to our patients under the direction of APP.

Job Duties:

• Assess appropriateness of referrals.
• Document communications in patient records.
• Responsible for reviewing APP medication refill in basket and assisting with daily medical refill request.
• Accurately and completely perform follow up activities including laboratory results and diagnostic, appointments, referrals.
• Responsible for reviewing EPIC triage calls in basket for any callbacks.
• Call pharmacy with prescription refills as prescribed by and under the direction of APP and/or physician.
• Work with others to implement a care plan under APP direction.
• Utilize available resources to solve problems for patients.
• Clean patient rooms as needed.
• Regular and dependable attendance.

Education:

• Associate Degree in Nursing is required.

Experience:

• Four (4) years of medical experience.
