YOUR FUTURE TEAM

As part of TCEQ Administrative Services, you would help support the logistical and operational structure for TCEQ statewide - the business foundation for the whole agency. See details about what we do.

This position is a member of our Human Resources and Staff Services Division.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working within a mail and supply center setting.
  • Experience working within a Copy and Print center setting.
  • Experience managing/supervising/training employees.
  • Experience working with State of Texas purchasing policies and procedures or contracts.
  • Experience with vendor bid process and contract management.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING...

  • Coordinate the Mail Operations/ Central Supply and the Copy Center, ensuring all staff members are trained on core requirements, unit procedures, and agency policies. Serve as the source person for technical questions and contributes to management processes, such as hiring, performance management, and staff development
  • Lead the daily operation of the Mail Operation and Central Supply. Ensure all mail is processed and messenger/delivery duties are carried out in accordance with U.S. Postal Regulations, Texas Facilities Commission requirements and agency policies and procedures. Resolve customer complaints and coordinates special projects from program areas to ensure mailing and delivery goals and objectives are met.
  • Plan the activities of agency printing services technicians, vendors, contractors, and service providers giving copying/printing services and equipment for all TCEQ programs. Assist TCEQ program areas fulfill Public Information Act (PIR) requests. Oversee the billing and collection of charges for the production and distribution of records copies requested under the provisions of the Public Information Act (PIR).
  • Manage mail/supply and copy center expenditures and contract management of mail center expenditures (postage) including postage supplies and copy center operation expenses. Serve as the technical expert in the evaluation, selection, procurement, and installation of agency copy/mail center equipment, services, and supplies.

This position requires full-time in office attendance.

Qualifications


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Experience in the administration of a program relevant to assignment.

OR

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in a field relevant to assignment.
