Reporting to the head of Title Banking within the Financial Institutions Group, this relationship-driven role will be accountable for building market share in Houston and surrounding cities for Texas Capital’s (TC) Title Banking team. Key focus will be on leading the Houston buildout with urgency and integrity, driving execution against established financial goals, maintaining and building new strategic client relationships, and effectively delivering the entire TC platform to clients. Responsibilities: Develop a strategic client acquisition pipeline to deepen and expand the Bank’s presence in and around the Houston market. Ensure appropriate client coverage through disciplined calling efforts, understanding the client’s strategic, technological, and financial objectives, and working with TC product partners to identify appropriate opportunities to deepen the bank’s relationship with the client. Embrace the TC Sales Excellence process to ensure appropriate client and prospect coverage and align with TCB product partners on delivering banking solutions to deepen existing relationships and accelerate new client acquisition. Call on clients in person regularly to ensure strong client satisfaction. Our title clients face funding deadlines and count on TC to move money on time. Must be able to problem solve, in real time, when issues arise by advocating for your clients within the bank. Focus on targets and deadlines. Possess a natural disposition to be focused on achieving production goals and calling metrics. Ability to implement a proactive approach toward managing expenses to ensure a healthy P&L statement. Keep abreast of the latest financial and banking product knowledge, financial markets, and relevant regulations. Stay current on business trends and new banking technology, particularly that related to title clients. Surface issues and provide feedback to appropriate corporate functional leaders for visibility and resolution. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field/experience desired. Minimum 5 years of commercial banking experience required, including prior experience in Treasury sales and/or support with a focus on middle market and corporate clients. Strong Treasury background required. Experience in working specifically with Title Companies is required. Ability to manage a deposit portfolio with limited credit needs. Ability to manage sales process and meet key performance goals including deposit acquisition and treasury sales goals, as well as ensure high levels of client satisfaction. Ability to function at a high-level in a dynamic, growing platform and execute the plan with a sense of urgency. Must have excellent intrapersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written, with ability to communicate with all levels of employees, management, internal committees, and clients. Must be proficient with organizational skills, ability to identify and solve problems/issues, and be able to management multiple workstreams.
