To further support the continued growth and scaling of the firm, Texas Capital is seeking to add a Sponsor Coverage professional to the team. In this newly created role, the successful candidate will take on substantive responsibility and leadership for the overall sponsor coverage/business development and marketing functions of the firm for the Midwest and Southeast regions. In this highly integrated role, the successful candidate will help shape and execute a strategy of selling the entire bank for Texas Capital that will expand the firm’s coverage and deepening relationships with sponsors. In this dynamic and highly visible role, he/she will serve as a firm ambassador and culture carrier with sponsors and internal lines of business. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of professional experience, with ideally at least 2-3 years in Sponsor Coverage at another investment bank or commercial bank, or private credit fund. S/he will have professional maturity, gravitas, and the ambition and drive to succeed at a highly entrepreneurial, growing investment bank. S/he will be a self-starter with a demonstrated ability to operate autonomously, complemented by a strong team orientation. It is important that the successful candidate has a track record of building deep relationships, complimented by outstanding interpersonal skills and good business judgment. S/he must have a high degree of motivation and the willingness to undertake pioneering efforts to create opportunities. In addition, s/he will have and the charisma, presence, and communication skills to establish credibility and inspire confidence both internally and externally. The successful candidate will have an exceptional work ethic and a background reflecting a high level of achievement. This person will be detail-oriented with superior organization skills and can effectively manage large quantities of information. It is critical that the successful candidate possess excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, as well as being detail oriented, data driven, tech savvy, and efficient. S/he will be intellectually curious and embrace continuous improvement, constantly seeking ways to make things better, faster, more efficient. Finally, the successful candidate must be comfortable traveling to the cities they cover and attending conferences with the lines of business.
