If this sounds appealing to you, then consider our Construction Inspector opportunity. The position is based in Estero, FL, or Miami, FL. 

 

 

Your Role:

·Act as an Owner's Representative, observing and overseeing underground utility construction.

·Ensure compliance with design plans, specifications, and permit requirements.

·Maintain comprehensive records of contractor progress, including precise quantity records, payment requests, punch lists, and certification of completion status.

·Document site activities accurately by maintaining accurate and current field books, construction reports, and as-built record drawings.

·Work closely with Client personnel, contractors, and project stakeholders throughout project timelines.

·Coordinate with third-party materials testing firms for concrete, soil, and weld testing.

 

 

Qualifications:

·3 years of experience inspecting civil infrastructure projects. Potable water and wastewater inspection experience preferred. 

·Proven track record working with municipal agencies or utility infrastructure organizations. 

·Experience in delivery of and/or supporting technical work (construction technical specifications, drawings, documentation) in a construction environment. 

·Demonstrated ability to handle simultaneous inspection of multiple projects. 

·Ability to react proactively in a high-paced environment and willingness to adjust effectively to changes. 

·Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record

Physical Requirements 

·This position may require protracted or irregular hours depending on the season. 

·Traverse over rough terrain, and constantly position self to operate miscellaneous survey equipment. 

·Occasionally ascend/descend ladders into trenches or onto roofs when inspecting construction and land development sites. 

·May be subject to exposure to extreme outdoor weather conditions, hazardous materials and chemicals, heavy construction equipment, confined spaces, heights, and air and waterborne pathogens. 

·May handle and move items up to 50 lbs for various needs.
