Tessera Therapeutics is Hiring a Research Associate I/II, Analytical Operations Near Somerville, MA

Position Summary:

The Research Associate I/II will be responsible for supporting process and product development by executing a variety of assay platforms across all modalities in the Analytical Operations team. We are searching for a driven, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who is comfortable multitasking and working with a team as well as independently on various aspects of the platform. This individual will join a dynamic, rapidly growing, and highly collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute, develop, optimize, qualify, validate, and troubleshoot analytical methods as required.
  • Focus on assays such as ELISA, qPCR, ddPCR, cell based, and a variety of wet chemistry to support product and process development across modalities from discovery through IND-enabling activities.
  • Contribute to an analytical operations center of excellence responsible for supporting a variety of sample types by preforming and documenting assays in a repeatable and efficient manner.
  • Organize and maintain laboratory space, inventory, and supplies.
  • Write and review methods and documentation including ROPs.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and collaborate with Process Development and Quality to enhance product and process understanding using fit-for-purpose, stage-appropriate analytical assay development.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS or MS with Biology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related life sciences field and 0-2 years of industry experience.
  • Experience with pipetting and aseptic technique.
  • Experience with at least two of the following technologies: cell-based assays, transfection, ELISA, western blot, SDS-PAGE, CE, ddPCR and/or enzymatic assays.
  • Attention to detail, ability to multi-task and troubleshoot.
  • Quick and engaged learner; independent thinker.
  • Enthusiasm and excitement for the pursuit of cutting-edge science.

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational, communicative, and analytical skillset with previous independent analytical development experience.
  • Familiarity with programs such as Excel, GraphPas Prism, and PowerPoint for data entry, analysis, and presentation.
