Tessera Therapeutics is Hiring a Co-op, Analytical Development Near Somerville, MA

Co-op, Analytical Development
Tessera Fall Co-op Program: Designed for students as an alternate academic study in their Bachelors or Masters program. Eligible students would be those attending schools with an established co-op program for academic credit.
Duration: June 24 - December 13, 2024 || Monday - Friday, 35-40 hrs/week
  • Hands-on Experience: Co-op participants will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on innovative projects at the forefront of biotechnology.
  • Coffee Chats with Leadership: Regular informal sessions will be arranged where students can engage in candid conversations with Tessera Therapeutics' leadership team. These sessions offer a unique opportunity to gain insights into leadership styles, career paths, and industry trends.
  • Career Development Workshops : Throughout the program, participants will have access to a series of workshops focused on enhancing key professional skills such as communication, drafting a resume and interviewing.
  • Student Outings and Activities: To foster a sense of camaraderie and community among participants, Tessera Therapeutics will organize various outings and activities.
  • Student Presentation: Opportunity to present accomplishments at the end of the co-op program to the entire organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate LC-MS (Liquid Chromatograhy Mass Spectrometry) instruments.
  • Develop LC-MS methods for the analysis of synthetic oligonucleotides.
  • Execute sample testing using LC-MS methods that might be high throughput, automated, or manual to support high-volume in-house demands.
  • Perform assays, support analytical method development, and report results in appropriate format (ELN, analytical report and presentation)
  • Manage of large amounts of raw data as well as associated data analysis
  • Effectively collaborate within the analytical team and with other functional teams for additional duties and responsibilities as required.
Basic Qualifications:
  • S. / M.S or equivalent in a relevant discipline, preferably with LC-MS experience.
  • Course work in Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry is preferable.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
Position Summary :
The Analytical Development Coop will be responsible to analyze synthetic oligonucleotides using LC-MS, and another analytical techniques. We are searching for a driven, enthusiastic and self-motivated student who is comfortable multitasking and working in a team environment. This student will gain industry experience and exposure while working with our novel gene writing technology.
