Tesla participates in the E-Verify Program
- Expert in detailed 3D and 2D drawing creation in CATIA V5/V6 and assembly models of lubrication related components
- Work directly with geartrain, motor, and structures team to optimize cooling requirements, lubricant distribution, and interactions
- Develop novel concepts for lubrication and cooling related components to minimize part count, cost, and complexity in the drive unit
- Develop lubrication and cooling components (electric oil pump, heat exchanger, oil filter) requirements
- Characterize and qualify lubrication related components
- Work with world class experts, firmware, design, and test engineers to develop and bring innovative technology to mass production
- Design, coordinate, and execution of drive unit level and component/subcomponent level tests for the explicit purpose of requirements validation and efficiency tuning
- Understanding of component manufacturing techniques and deep understanding of ANSI Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing application to part drawings and function
- Deep learning of thermodynamic physics
- Experience with instrumentation, measurement, calibration, and laboratory testing
- Physics based mentality
- Working knowledge of heat transfer, lubrication techniques and thermal management
- Automotive component/system testing experience
- Working knowledge of motors and gearboxes

$80,000 - $300,000/annual salary cash and stock awards benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
