Reporting to the Global Environmental Sr. Manager, this roleis responsible for facilitating the development and deployment of EHS policies,environmental programs, procedures, and tools designed for facility permitting,compliance and planning. This role drives EHS projects and initiatives inalignment with Tesla's global EHS vision, values and principles. The idealcandidate is a self-starter and works to identify and address opportunities onhis/her own as well as with other EHS team members. • Help create, develop, implement, maintain, and improvefacility environmental programs with EHS operations, internal and externalstakeholders in North America. Collaborate with R&D and Energy Facilitiesin California working closely with the EHS Staff in each facility to accomplishenvironmental program requirements
• Lead environmental compliance and permitting activities forprojects including air, water, wastewater, stormwater, hazardous wastes mediasin both a construction and operational environment. Conduct facilityinspections to determine environmental compliance status and lead projects toresolve any environmental compliance issues
• Effectively and responsibly lead interactions withregulatory agencies on environmental permitting, reporting and regulatoryinquiries for all environmental matters. Establish and maintain a knowledgebase of EHS standards and regional regulations. Drive the continuousimprovement of sustainable manufacturing operations and environmentalprocesses
• Ensure hazardous waste management meets all regulatoryrequirements and waste minimization expectations using onsite inspections,planning, records review, and training
• Assists in planning for changes in physical facilities,reviewing new or modified equipment and new manufacturing programs to meetregulatory and permitting requirements, including sustainability goals
• Provide expertise on EHS policies, programs, procedures,tools, and initiatives. Implements SPCC Plans at the facility/regional level. LeadESG data collection metric program for California R&D/Energy facilities
• Leads incident response in environmental matters to ensureavoidance/minimization of impacts, waste management from incident recoveryactivities and leads root cause analysis related to spills/environmentalincidents

• 5 years of environmental program leadership experience in asimilar manufacturing/ industrial environment
• Professional certifications or licenses relevant toenvironmental management preferred
• Exceptional skills in technical environmental medias. Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills. Well organized with meticulousattention to detail
• Demonstrated project management and leadership skills with afocus on EHS Data, KPI's, Systems, Training and Documentation
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressurein a challenging and fast paced, collaborative environment while managingcompeting demands and tight deadlines
• Able to influence and communicate effectively with alllevels of management, while building relationships through collaboration bothwithin and outside of EHS
• Able to creatively and pro-actively problem-solve anddevelop short-term and long-term goals
