What to Expect

We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Electrical Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in developing electrical test setups, python programming, high voltage systems, inverters, and electronics. As an Electrical Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing tests for electrical systems and components. You will contribute to the reliability assurance and performance optimization of power conversion systems in our vehicles, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and execute test setups and procedures for electrical systems, focusing on power conversion, high voltage, inverters, and electronics
  • Perform functional and performance testing of electrical components, subsystems, and complete systems
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, working closely with the design and development teams to identify root causes and propose solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test requirements and specifications for new products or product enhancements
  • Utilize Python programming for test automation, data analysis, and equipment control
  • Conduct electrical safety testing and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations
  • Monitor and analyze test results, generate detailed reports, and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to power conversion, high voltage, inverters, and electronics
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Advanced degree preferred
  • Strong knowledge and experience in power conversion systems, high voltage systems, inverters, and electronics
  • Proficiency in Python programming for test automation, data analysis, and equipment control
  • Hands-on experience with electrical testing equipment, instrumentation, and measurement techniques
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to electrical testing and safety
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present test results and recommendations

Expected Compensation

$80,000 - $300,000/annual salary cash and stock awards benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
