The Role:Designing & building infrastructure, at record speed, is key to enabling us to scale worldwide. Tesla is looking for a qualified Electrical Designer to join our factory infrastructure engineering team in Austin, TX. You will play a pivotal role in the design of complex manufacturing facilities. The role requires a highly organized mindset, a passion for driving multi-disciplinary projects, and an unparalleled ability to consistently perform at a high level.
- Perform design, drafting and basic 3D modeling using Revit for electrical systems including power, lighting, Security, Telecom, etc
- Use National Electric Code to create drawings in compliance with national codes
- Interface and collaborate with engineers from multiple disciplines
- Create full construction drawing packages, perform submittal and shop drawing reviews, and respond to RFI's
- Interface with construction trades and perform regular field walks to review installation progress and adherence to design
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment
- Associate degree in Computerized Drafting field preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Autodesk Revit Electrical modeling
- Advanced knowledge of electrical system components, conduit types, fittings, etc.
- Strong desire to be a part of a world class team focused on achieving excellence
- Experience designing electrical systems for industrial projects
- Experience with eVolve, Revizto, & Dynamo preferred
