The Technical Program Manager is an integral part of the Dojo engineering development team and will be responsible for managing cross-functional projects from end-to-end, focused on Firmware, Software, System Integration and Networking. This role entails significant leadership in product and system development for high density compute, and datacenter applications. Responsibilities including scope management, roadmap development, release planning and cross-team coordination. As the Dojo project will continue to iterate quickly, the TPM role is crucial to leading the teams to success. You will practice both strategic and tactical activities and directly manage solutions within your problem domain through all phases of their lifecycle.
Efficiently manage project scope, schedule, and resources to ensure goals are achieved within program milestones.
Lead your teams with strength and confidence through rapid development cycles, changing requirements, and uncertainty.
Constantly work to evolve our processes and systems towards increasing precision and dependability, while maintaining ability to change quickly when needed.
Coordinate release of software, including release notes, documentation, training, and internal marketing, to maximize the impact of solution delivery.
Validate that delivered solutions solve intended business objectives by applying predefined measures.
Prepare actionable epics, stories, and bugs for engineering and collaborate leadership on maintaining a prioritized backlog for the team, balancing business outcomes with objectives that enable the engineering team to reliably deliver customer value at a sustainable pace.
Consolidate inputs from across the program into executive reviews highlighting risks and actions.
Develop systems and best practices for communication of status, blockers and changes.
Develop and maintain progress trackers that detail the variety of development tasks needed during a product lifecycle (product definition, design, test, validation/sign-off, releases).
B.S. Engineering (ex: computer science, electronics, information), or equivalent practical experience in design/development with proof of exceptional, abilities.
Basic proficiency of programming languages (ex: python, c , rust, golang, ruby, etc)
Experience using Agile methodologies to collaborate directly with a software engineering team
5 years experience in product development, ideally with multiple delivered firmware/software products. Machine learning, datacenter, networking experience a plus.
Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire:
$88,000 - $300,000/annual salary cash and stock awards benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
