We are seeking a Maintenance Tech II for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Did you get into our industry for these reasons? Job Summary and Qualifications
  • Repairs and maintains assigned machinery and mechanical equipment, using hand and power tools and appropriate test equipment
  • Repairs, calibrates, maintains and/or replaces gauges, valves, pneumatic controls and electrical controls for refrigeration, heating and cooling systems
  • Inspects and perform air filter maintenance and changes
  • Carries out scheduled preventive maintenance procedures on assigned equipment
  • Cleans and maintains efficient operation of chiller condenser tubes, cooling towers, evaporator and condenser coils, air supply and return units and heating and cooling coils
  • Operates and maintains centrifugal chiller
  • Installs, calibrates, maintains and performs service on all refrigeration units such as refrigerators, freezers, ice machines, drinking fountains
  • Installs, calibrates, maintains and performs service on all air conditioning equipment, such as air handlers, return fans, exhaust units and office central air units
  • Installs, calibrates, maintains and performs service on all heating equipment such as electric furnaces, steam and hot water heating coils, steam humidifiers and food processing equipment
  • Shut down, drains, lubricates and properly prepares equipment for periods of in operation during off-season
  • Requisitions and maintains required stock of material and repair parts for assigned equipment
  • Assists in estimating material and labor requirements for any heating, air conditioning, or refrigeration additions or renovations
  • Assists in training of new employees of the department
  • Attends unit meetings, in services and other educational programs to maintain competency requirements
  • Performs efficiently with CPCS

  • Attend Code of Conduct training course annually
  • Demonstrate an understanding of and adherence to HCA’s Code of Conduct
  • Demonstrates conduct that is reflective of THRH’s commitment to HCA’s Code of Conduct
  • Understands and satisfies the needs of the patient population appropriate to the age of the patient served (adults, geriatric, adolescent, pediatric, and parents of neonates)
  • Adheres to the Standards of Behavior for Terre Haute Regional Hospital as per the Customer Relations Policy
What qualifications you will need:

Essential educational/licensure, skills and experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of trade or technical school or completion of approved apprenticeship program in maintenance and repair of commercial and industrial refrigeration

Valued but not required educational/licensure, skills and experience:

  • Completion of approved apprenticeship program in maintenance and repair of commercial and industrial refrigeration
  • HVAC Certification
  • Prefer ten (10) years experience with Hospital facilities equipment previous experience in HVAC preferred
