Terracon Consultants Inc is Hiring a Marketing Manager Near Tampa, FL

With this in mind, we are hiring a Marketing Manager for Terracon's Florida offices. You will support a growing, prosperous region of engineers, scientists, and project professionals. We work on exciting projects of all sizes.Your primary responsibility is as our Proposal Manager: guiding, crafting and seeing proposals through to submission. Additionally, you will manage our proposal resources, such as resumes and project experience summaries; as well as marketing collateral, conference and trade show coordination and planning, and help maintain our Client Relationship Manager (CRM - Microsoft Dynamics). You will be part of and help lead a regional marketing team with varying experience and responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be familiar with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, as well as MS Office 365. Additionally, this role requires organization, self-motivation, and superior editorial skills. You should have marketing experience in the engineering, architecture, or construction fields, and have experience with responding to proposal requests and/or SOQs. In addition, you will develop and support the division's marketing strategies through market research, digital marketing, thought leadership, marketing planning, and more!Essential Role and Responsibilities:
  • Produces and coordinates proposals/presentation preparation, including scheduling milestones and reviews, conducting reviews, and working with Project Champions to ensure quality material is submitted and delivered on schedule.
  • Schedules and conducts project kick-off meetings with project champions/project managers and other pursuit team members to strategize for a winning proposal and/or presentation.

  • Works with other Marketing Professionals to share company-wide best practices and inter-divisional information sharing.
  • Supports the division with business planning through market research, prioritizes marketing efforts to drive division growth, and acts as a change agent on initiatives.
  • Ensures that the various aspects of the proposals (branding, key messages, technical scope, staff qualifications, experience, etc.) and other marketing materials meet requirements and are accurate, timely, and well-written.
  • Takes ownership of CRM updates, training of personnel, and reporting at a division-wide level.
  • Works with the Client Development Professionals, Regional Managers, and pursuit teams to develop strategy and Project/Client Capture Plans.
  • Coordinates events, including event planning, collateral and swag production, registration, and tradeshow participation activities.
  • Participates and sometimes leads regular marketing meetings with managers, supervisors, and others that contribute to executing the division and office business plans.
  • Mentors the marketers throughout the division.
  • Follows safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all activities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or related degree and 10 years' marketing and communications experience. Alternatively, in lieu of a degree, 14 years' related experience.
  • Prior experience with private and public agency proposal submittals/SOQs within the A/E/C industry.
Preferred:
  • Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) Certification
