Summary
We are seeking an Electrical Service Technician for commercial and residential service work to install, repair, and maintain electrical systems within buildings. Responsibilities include installing and repairing all wiring, circuits, outlets, and components to power lighting, appliances, climate control systems, and other equipment as well as troubleshooting wiring issues to ensure systems are functioning properly. The technician will also be responsible for repairing or replacing defective parts such as circuit breakers, fixtures, wiring, and hardware as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Reading blueprints and technical diagrams to determine placement of outlets and fixtures
• Installing wiring, outlets, controls, and other components
• Conducting maintenance on electrical systems
• Inspecting transformers and circuit breakers for code compliance
• Identifying electrical issues using tools like voltmeters, cable testers, thermal scanners
• Repairing/replacing wiring and equipment using hand/power tools
• Training fellow technicians on system installation and repair
• Following all applicable building codes and safety regulations

• Obtaining authorized signatures for completed work invoices
• Gathering customer invoices on-site

•  8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday
•  Rotating on-call duties
•  Weekend/after-hours work when necessary

• 4 years of documented electrical service experience
• 4-year completion of Apprenticeship School is a plus
• 8 years overall electrical experience
•  2 years as a service tech
•  Knowledge of NFPA 70: National Electrical Code
•  NFPA 70E certified is a plus, will provide training.
•  First Aid certified certified is a plus, will provide training.
•  Lockout/Tagout trained certified is a plus, will provide training.
•  OSHA 30 Hour trained certified is a plus, will provide training.
