We are hiring now for an IT Specialist to join our Virginia team; Our ideal candidate will exhibit a passion for technology and a knack for problem-solving. They should be able to work both independently and collaboratively while being adaptable and driven to ensure the smooth operation of the company's IT systems and support.

How you will contribute as a vital part of our team:

The IT Specialist maintains and improves the technical systems of the company to ensure all employees have the technology they need to complete their work and the organization's important files/information remain safe and intact as well as:

  • Manage IT Tickets and resolve all IT support issues; including all issues end-users have with their hardware/software
  • On/offboarding users
  • Installing/upgrading components
  • Set up software/hardware
  • Assist with network administration and inventory management
  • Daily support with Lab Lynx requests and LIMS project
  • Educate coworkers about network security and best practices for computer usage.
  • Maintain documentation, manuals, knowledge base, end-users training, & network security
  • Consult and support the Tentamus North America laboratories in their daily IT challenges.

Position Type & Expected Schedule

Full-Time | Hybrid | M - F 8:00PM - 5:00PM | Weekends as needed

To be successful at Adamson, you'll need:

The successful candidate will be authorized to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship, with a minimum of a high school diploma. An Associate degree in Computer Information Systems is preferred and/or related field/experience. Other items include:

  • 1 - 2 years of experience in related field preferred
  • Professional certifications (e.g. A , etc.)
  • Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication ability, both written and verbal.
  • Personable, professional demeanor.
  • Desktop, Helpdesk, and mobile device support experience.
  • Microsoft and Open-source office applications experience.
