Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dietitian to join our team. The Bariatric Dietitian works closely with the interdisciplinary health care teams to provide nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy that are integrated and compatible with the patient’s medical program goals and objectives.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Developing and implementing nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy using established standards of care
- Practice bariatric protocols/guidelines; managing resources in an effective manner
- Participating in performance improvement efforts.
- Lead bariatric support groups, conduct bariatric information and education sessions, and assists with monthly Bariatrics seminars.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or related field; Master's degree preferred
- Registered Dietitian (RD) certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Dietitian in a clinical setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of physiology and its relationship to nutrition
- Proficient in conducting patient assessments and developing personalized diet plans
- Familiarity with tube feeding techniques and enteral nutrition support
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to effectively educate and motivate patients towards positive dietary changes
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
