Licensed Practical Nurses, or LPNs, are needed at an exciting and fast-paced nursing facility in Murfreesboro, TN.

Tennessee State Veterans’ Home is a long-term care and skilled nursing facility dedicated to caring for Tennessee veterans and their families. Consistently ranked in the top 3% for quality care according to CMS, Tennessee State Veterans’ Home has been a leader in Nursing Home care for over 25 years.

We are currently looking for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to take advantage of full time or PRN opportunities including a leadership role, educational growth, and advancement. This position will work closely with RN supervisors, CNAs, and other staff to ensure high quality care is maintained.

QUALIFICATIONS

LPNs must demonstrate sound judgment, professional knowledge and understanding, and display a positive, cooperative resident-first attitude at all times. Candidates must have a current active LPN license. Long-term care and 1-3 years’ experience is preferred but not required. New graduates will be considered.

• Valid and active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
• Completion of an accredited nursing program
• Knowledge of nursing principles and practices
• Proficient in administering medications and performing treatments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist with medical procedures as directed by the healthcare team
• Collaborate with registered nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
• Monitor and assess patient health conditions, including vital signs, symptoms, and reactions to medications or treatments
• Document patient information, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and promptly
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards of practice
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe healthcare environment
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance nursing skills and knowledge
• Adhere to ethical and professional standards of conduct

EDUCATION and LICENSES

High school diploma and completion of a Licensed Practical Nursing program.
