Job Title: Industrial Procurement Specialist (Rockville, MD)

Position: Industrial Procurement Specialist

We are looking for an exceptional candidate with experience in industrial or robotic manufacturing procurement to consider joining the elite team at Temple Allen Industries in Rockville, MD.

Responsibilities include:

· Conduct procurement of machined parts, weldments, COTS, and 3D printed parts

· Coordinate with other procurement staff to determine most efficient task assignments

· Organize shipping of all procured parts and components to company HQ in Maryland

· Manage departmental purchase order requests, supplier drawings, quotes, purchase orders, delivery schedules, etc.

· Receive and assist in accepting/rejecting all procured parts as applicable.

· Nurture positive relationships with all current and potential suppliers

· Manage part discrepancies and coordinate with suppliers in facilitating replacing/returning rejected parts.

· Manage and regularly update internal procurement and operational documentation.

· Research, evaluate, negotiate, and analyze terms and conditions, pricing, quality, and lead times with potential/new suppliers in coordination with the company’s commitments and forecasts.

· Perform ongoing management of contracted suppliers - including reducing costs, identifying price discrepancies, quality, lead time and identifying opportunities for greater collaboration, etc.

· Support development and maintenance of company policies and processes.

Key Qualifications include:

· 2-4 years purchasing experience – willing to train the right candidate

· Substantive experience in Microsoft Excel

· Strong organizational/communication skills (both written and verbal) in English

· Able to thrive and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

· Impeccable time management

· Strong negotiation skills and relationship management

· Strategic thinking and analytical skills

· Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial experience a plus.

Compensation: Commensurate with skills, experience, and time required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
