**JOB SUMMARY:**

As a GM with PM Hotel Group, you will be instrumental in hiring, motivating, and rewarding a winning team of associates who embrace our core values and are passionate about delivering memorable lifestyle experiences to our guests. You are the liaison with the brand, our owners and with PM- responsible for ensuring a successful business operation. From supervising brand training and meeting operational and project deadlines to following budget guidelines and fostering a welcoming and supportive culture, the GM sets the tone. As the face of the hotel, you will network with city officials and local business leaders, building awareness and developing community relationships; on-site the GM is a lifestyle ambassador, embodying both the brands values and PMs LIVE spirit.

**RESPONSIBILITIES AUTHORITIES:**

* Display honesty integrity in every facet of the role

* Be a hands-on do-er and inspirational leader able to motivate team members to drive for success and exceed expectations. Be willing to pitch-in in day-to-day hotel operations

* Build strong relationships with colleagues, partners, clients, and outside vendors

* Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly, respectful, and service-oriented manner

* Play a pivotal role in hotel sales efforts including meeting clients, hosting luncheons and receptions and meeting with on-site contacts on a daily weekly and monthly basis.

* Foster strong connection with department heads to be approachable at all times

* Maintain high, professional standards of personal appearance and grooming and act as a model to associated on property

****SPECIFIC DUTIES:****

* Responsible for the optimizing propertys financial performance and maintaining high-level performance and operational service excellence

* Provide inspirational leadership to enliven PMs vision and deliver extraordinary service and uphold our core values

* Monitor guest feedback and performance data to optimize guest engagement and loyalty and implement corrective measures as needed

* Stay informed of market trends and introduce new products and experiences to drive guest engagement, increase revenue and ensure a competitive position in the market

* Manage hotels operational budget and monitor financial performance to ensure goals are met or exceeded

* Provide hands-on leadership to ensure revenue is maximized and expenses are controlled

* Together with DOS conduct daily meetings focused on prospecting and existing account maintenance; call on Top-10 accounts meeting with clients and meeting with contacts and team members on ongoing basis (daily, weekly, monthly)

* Ensure regular ongoing communication occurs daily rallies, stand ups, department meetings. Tour operating departments daily- making adjustments as needed with department heads

* Conduct weekly staff meetings including trainings conducted by managers to ensure service performance standards, associate engagement, and development

* Hold monthly financial review with all department managers and supervisors

* Develop managers for advancement through ongoing trainings and mentorship

* Ensure that ongoing service trainings are occurring to maintain service standards

* Other job-related duties may be assigned by the associates supervisor.

* Luxury and independent hotel experience; resort experience preferred

* Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information to resolve conflicts

* Local and regional market experience a plus

* Honesty, integrity, passion for hard work and success. Detail obsessed. Results driven.

**QUALIFICATIONS SKILLS:**

* Bachelors degree and 10 years progressive work experience

* Minimum 3 years as a hotel manager in an upper upscale or luxury hotel environment; resort experience highly preferred

* Excels at communication- both verbal and written. Prior experience serving as a hotel spokesperson strongly desired
