Tellus Solutions is Hiring a Cash Application Specialist (Accounts Receivable) Near San Carlos, CA

Job Description:

Examples of Essential Functions:

  • Keep accounting records regarding Redi Wheels, pass sales, special billing/accounts receivable collections, revenue recognition accounting and adjustments.
  • Reconcile daily sales of cash and credit card transaction
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Research and resolve payment disputes with customer accounts.
  • Reconcile return passes and update log for accuracy

Examples of Duties:

  • Create and update customer's accounts
  • Process unapplied cash receipts, collection and reporting
  • Prepare and enter journal entries for month-end and year-end closing.
  • Prepare and reconcile financial reports such as pass sales and ticket by mail.
  • Process TVM credit card refunds.
  • Process and respond to chargeback transactions.
  • Process all write-off for customer delinquent accounts
  • Perform all job duties and responsibilities in a safe manner to protect yourself, fellow employees and the public from injury or harm. Promote safety awareness and follow safety procedures in an effort to reduce or eliminate accidents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Sufficient education, training, and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. Development of the required knowledge and abilities is typically obtained through but not limited to:
  • Associates degree in Accounting, Business or a related field; can substitute up to two years of full-time experience.
  • Three (3) years full-time accounting experience working with computerized accounting systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Access databases.
  • Experience with ERP databases (e.g., PeopleSoft)
  • Communicate effectively both orally, and in writing.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $26.10 - $34.48 per hour

  • Accounts receivable/ A/R: 3 years (Required)
  • ERP systems: 2 years (Required)
