Responsibilities:

An experienced wireless RF and PIM Troubleshooting Construction Foreman is responsible for managing and overseeing the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of wireless communication systems. Their key roles and responsibilities include:

· Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Identify and diagnose RF and PIM (Passive Intermodulation) issues in wireless communication systems. Use specialized tools and equipment to analyze signal quality, interference, and other factors affecting system performance. Develop and implement effective solutions to resolve issues and optimize system performance.

· Project Planning and Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to plan and coordinate RF and PIM troubleshooting activities. Develop project schedules, allocate resources, and ensure timely completion of tasks and deliverables.

· Team Leadership: Lead a team of technicians and field engineers involved in RF and PIM troubleshooting activities. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure the team's effectiveness and productivity. Foster a positive work environment and promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

· Site Surveys and Assessments: Conduct site surveys and assessments to evaluate the RF and PIM environment. Identify potential sources of interference, signal degradation, or other issues that may impact wireless system performance. Make recommendations for system improvements and modifications as needed.

· Equipment Installation and Commissioning: Oversee the installation, configuration, and commissioning of RF and PIM testing equipment and tools. Ensure that all equipment is calibrated and functioning properly for accurate troubleshooting and testing.

· Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze RF and PIM measurement data collected during troubleshooting activities. Generate comprehensive reports detailing the findings, recommendations, and actions taken to address identified issues. Present findings to project stakeholders and provide regular updates on project status.

· Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of RF and PIM troubleshooting activities. Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify compliance with industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.

· Safety Compliance: Establish and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for the team. Conduct safety training, inspections, and incident investigations to prevent accidents and maintain compliance with safety regulations.

· Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and vendors. Provide regular updates on troubleshooting progress, system performance, and any potential impact on project timelines or deliverables.

· Continuous Learning and Professional Development: Stay updated on the latest advancements, technologies, and best practices in RF and PIM troubleshooting. Attend training programs, conferences, and industry events to enhance skills and knowledge. Share knowledge and expertise with team members to foster professional growth.

· Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate documentation of RF and PIM troubleshooting activities, daily logs, including test results, equipment calibration records, and project-related documentation. Ensure proper record keeping for future reference and compliance purposes.

Qualifications:

Education:

· High school diploma or equivalent is typically required.

· Additional education in telecommunications, electrical engineering, or a related field is beneficial.

Technical Skills:

· Proficiency in troubleshooting Passive Intermodulation (PIM) issues in telecommunications infrastructure.

· Knowledge of RF (Radio Frequency) principles and RF testing equipment.

· Familiarity with PIM testing methodologies and equipment such as PIM analyzers and spectrum analyzers.

· Understanding of telecommunications network architecture, including antennas, cables, connectors, and base station equipment.

· Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and RF design documentation.

· Experience with site audits and RF interference analysis.

Certifications:

· Certification in PIM testing from organizations such as the PIM Testing and Measurement Institute (PTMI) or equivalent is desirable.

· Relevant industry certifications such as ETA International's Certified Telecommunications Network Specialist (CTNS) or equivalent may be beneficial.

Experience:

· Several years of experience in telecommunications construction, installation, and maintenance, with a focus on troubleshooting PIM issues.

· Prior experience in a leadership or foreman role, preferably in a telecommunications construction environment.

· Demonstrated experience coordinating and leading teams to resolve technical issues efficiently.

· Experience working with cellular carriers, tower companies, or telecommunications contractors is highly desirable.

Leadership Skills:

· Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate, mentor, and manage a team of technicians.

· Effective communication skills to convey technical information clearly to team members and stakeholders.

· Capacity to prioritize tasks, allocate resources, and manage project schedules effectively.
