Commercial Specialist being hired for a global manufacturer and supplier of precision, automatic, laboratory instruments for over 50 years. Corporation products provide solutions for a wide variety of industries including pharmaceutical, food and beverage, petroleum and flavor and fragrance.
Summary:
The Commercial Specialist in the Commercial Department will be responsible for the coordination of the workflow in the Department as it relates to order entry, shipping, return material authorizations, phone inquiries, retrieval of customer feedback, and maintenance of departmental logs.
The Specialist will gain knowledge of the products assigned, to be able to provide basic customer inquiry responses and coordinate technical responses with the appropriate Corporation Technical support expert.
A successful candidate will have experience in a customer-centric environment, preferably in import/export manufacturing.
Requires a pleasant phone presence.
Will directly communicate with customers by phone or email in response or as a first contact.
Candidate must be detail oriented, able to work in a high paced environment efficiently and follow directions accurately.
Candidate must be comfortable in conflict related circumstances, assuring the customer is adequately assisted within our policies and procedures.
Must be capable of performing independently and willing to take initiative.
Responsibilities and Duties
Quotations (Parts, Accessories and Specialty Products)
Order Entry, Order Processing
Preparation of Order Acknowledgements
Preparation of Shipments/Shipping Labels-Cartons and Courier
Provides Customers with information regarding shipments
Maintains Projection Schedules for Instruments and Octapol
Follows QCP Recalibration Order Processing Procedures
Responds to Customer Inquiries via email or phone
Shares responsibility for answering the Company phone
Follow-up on Order Status internally
Follow-up on “Payment Pending” orders
Prepares Department Metrics participation as assigned
Prepares Month End Sales Reports as assigned
Supports Service Department as it relates to shipping
Assists in maintaining the list of countries/territories as it pertains to the Department of Homeland Security restrictions
Assists in maintaining list of shipping charges for domestic quotes, orders, and shipments
Participates in trainings to support supplemental products
Assists in preparation of Annual Board of Directors Meeting reports
Other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience:
Minimum of High School Diploma
Some college or equivalent related work experience preferred
3 years prior experience in a customer centric environment, preferably in import/export manufacturing
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Experience with ERP (SA) SAP and/or CRM (HubSpot) systems a plus
