Summary

This role is a customer on site role (Bentonville, AR) representing Telaid’s Security & Technology team The Project Support Engineer - Security Technology is a crucial role that will influence one of the world's largest security deployments by helping support the vast deployment of closed-circuit television (CCTV), Access Control, Paging, and various Network systems at our customers properties across the globe. This position will enhance our Security Technology portfolio and will be a subject matter expert, focused on technology that will be detecting and responding to threats by establishing best practices and collaborating with cross functional teams. In this role, you will provide advanced technical support on multiple solutions, including Networking, CCTV, Access Control, and paging/music systems. You will also identify systemic technical issues and prepare technical bulletins for field-based installers and technicians. Additionally, you will verify proper integration and programming of the various security technology systems and serve as the primary point of contact for directing and resolving escalations involving these systems. All of this while working with cross-functional teams on various projects and support-related issues and helping to engineer technical solutions in response to business challenges and problems.

Responsibilities

• Support technical and project management needs via emails and phone calls and other approved support channels.
• Support techs in the field related to network connectivity/structured cabling, Wi-Fi installations & support, audio conferencing and distribution systems, media/video display and distribution systems, and networking services.
• Support Walmart Rollouts and Special projects in SOW development and SME support.
• Engage the broader support team in R&D projects as assigned.
• Exhibit professional correspondence in a tactful, diplomatic, and honest manner with all levels of staff, field technicians, business partners, and customers.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Skills & Work Experience

• Superior customer service, technical service and support, and communications skills, both written and verbal.
• Must have general understanding of routers, switches, and device configurations.
• 2-4 years’ project management and\or technical support experience in a fast-paced, corporate environment.
• Proven technical support experience.
• Working knowledge of Wi-Fi, Low voltage Structured Cabling, Analog, and Data Networking.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret business correspondence and data.
• Ability to write (create) reports and business correspondence with minimal direction to meet professional quality standards.
• Superior documentation and follow-up skills and strong attention to detail.
• Moderate to advanced proficiency level with Microsoft Office Suite Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Telecommunications experience in technical support or field support is a plus.
• You have a deep understanding of security technologies and how they work together to provide multi-level deterrence, detection, and notification.
• IT Networking & Infrastructure experience.
• You are comfortable building relationships, leveraging internal and external partnerships with key stakeholders and working collaboratively on cross-functional teams.
