Job Description

• We are seeking a Commercial Building Construction Assistant Project Manager to join our team of professionals! You will be responsible for assisting in the management and delivery of construction projects from planning & development through groundbreaking and project completion.
• Responsibilities to include assisting Project Manager with the following duties:
• Commencement, management, and Completion of all projects assigned.
• Develop and maintain working relationships with Clients, Consultants, and other agencies of the project team
• Plan and implement all procurement of materials and services for each project
• Create scope of work assignments for each subcontractor & vendor
• Create contracts with vendors and suppliers
• Manage, supervise, and be responsible for all project costs and participate in project accounting updates, approvals, and processes
• Manage all project team members
• Create and maintain project schedules
• Maintain project communication hierarchy and protocol between project team
• Review projects in field
• Quality Control
• Schedule and attend all job meetings
• Create and participate in Project closeout procedures
• Ability to travel to projects for 2-3 days per week on a weekly basis
• Manage all project purchases, subcontract negotiations, and account maintenance responsibility to meet established project budgets.
• Be accountable for the Profit & success of each project managed
• All other assignments requested by the Project Management Staff.

Qualifications:

• Assistant Project Manager
• Minimum 2 years previous experience in commercial building construction assistant project management employment history or Construction related 2- or 4-year degree.
• Good organization and planning skills. Submittal Processing, Budget Maintenance, and Project administration experience are a plus.
• The ability to follow pm direction and schedule, estimate, and write contracts.
• Good analytical and critical thinking skills
• Strong negotiation skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to understand all aspects of the commercial building process. Ability to read understand and comprehend Drawings and specifications.
• Demonstrate success in assisting in the buying of projects and maintaining a predetermined project budget and profit margin.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $58,722.82 - $85,000.00 per year
