Patient Services Specialist
100% On-Site
Lorton, VA
$17-18 / hr based on experience
Job Description :
- The Patient Service Specialist will sit at the front desk of a busy outpatient specialty clinic in Lorton, VA
- Patient registration, scheduling follow up appointments, check in, check out.
- General customer service to all patients for whatever they may need.
- Answering all phone calls as they come in, helping patients with whatever they may need.
- Documenting Doctor's notes on the patient files in the EMR system they use.
- Multi Tasking with a doctor needing things from them, the patients being in front of them, and the phones ringing.
- Will be on the phones 33% of the time, on the computer 33% of the time, and helping patients 33% of the time.
- This is a full-time contract to hire job opportunity with benefits!
Schedule : (Monday - Friday - 8 hour shifts, must be available to work between hours of 7 AM - 6 PM)
Candidate's must be available to work this exact schedule, there is no option for flexibility on these days / times.
Additional Skills & Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- At least 1-2 years of administrative experience
- Healthcare admin experience (medical front desk or PRA or PSC) preferred
