Description:

Welcome people as they enter the clinic.

Communicate anticipated wait times and/or delays.

Check-in our patients.

Distribute HIPAA awareness forms.

Verify all demographic insurance information. Obtain ID/Insurance cards.

Obtain complete patient registration information for patients who come in without appointments. Ensure email addresses and phone numbers are accurate.

Check-out patients. Obtain signatures on all applicable forms.

Collect all patient out of pocket responsibilities (i.e., deductibles, copays, co-insurance, etc.) and/or obtain relevant signatures.

Schedule next appointment for patients at check out, i.e., cast and measure, delivery, follow up, or prosthetic care plan appointments.

Answer incoming calls by the third ring. Efficiently transfer patient requests to the appropriate party as needed. Document and relay sufficient message details.

Create a comfortable environment by maintaining a clean and appropriately stocked lobby/reception area.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

High school education or equivalent.

A valid driver’s license and driving record within the standards

Experience in a medical office.

Ability to key 40 words per minute with accuracy preferred.
