Description:

The inside sales representative will work cooperatively with outside sales and other members of the sales team to grow existing customers, create new customers, and meet or exceed monthly sales quotas while increasing customer satisfaction. Manage time effectively, follow company policies and procedures, and always present a professional image to customers and vendors whether on –site or off-site.

• Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner while educating customers about terminology, features and benefits of products to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction.
• Determine customer requirements and expectations to recommend specific products and solutions.
• Present price and credit terms, in accordance with standard procedures
• Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes, or returns and forward to proper department for quotes or returns as needed.
• Provide accurate information regarding availability of in-stock parts items.
• Obtain accurate information relating to shipment dates and expected date of delivery as well as monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain sales order files and ensure change orders, scheduling changes, partial shipments, and credit changes are properly communicated to customer.
• Proactively recommend items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability by cross-selling, up-selling add-on sales and offering promotional sales items
• Remain current on consumer preferences, changes in product developments by attending vendor training and trade shows or reading journals.
• Maintain proficiency in utilizing computer, credit card charges and other common office equipment and software.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
