Job Details

Must haves:
  • Figma
    • Figma expertise is critical - for desktop, vs tablet vs smart phone
  • Knowing how to prototype -- need someone fairly holistic here
  • Design System experience
  • Understanding complex systems
  • Need experience with cross design practice disciplines - interfaced with content people and visual people before but can pick that work up if they have to or assist.
  • UCD (user centered design) and UX best practices
  • Hopefully Financial experience
  • Need to be corporate savvy and truly understand complex systems.
  • These are complex projects so you must be able to present to executives, work with stakeholders, and have experience at a corporate level.
Figma expertise including:
  • Visual design and animation (desktop, tablet, smartphone)
  • Design system build & maintenance knowledge, and evangelization
  • Dynamic prototyping with variables
  • Design System Experience
Facilitation skills:
  • Running meetings, and working sessions with internal teams and project stakeholders
  • Expertise defining and facilitating larger design efforts like design-sprints and promotions
  • Comfortable with executive level presentations and relationship building
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of designing user experiences for web and mobile applications, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • At least 4 years of experience working at a financial institution or within the finance services industry.
  • Expert in UI design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or similar.
  • Knowledge of CSS and Storybook
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of successful projects and design solutions.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, usability testing methodologies, and interaction design.
  • Experience in streamlining complicated enterprise software.
  • Experience working in agile development environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of databases, data pipelines, data visualization techniques, APIs, and web technologies is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively articulate design concepts and ideas to diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a passion for creating intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.
  • Knowledge of current UX trends, best practices, and emerging technologies
