Organization: Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) LOB: Engineering and Development Support Team: IEO LabOPS Location: Onsite 5 days a week in Franklin, MA Duration: 2 months to start with likely extension past July (backfill so finishing out remainder of Will's contract and then will be extended longer) Lab Support Engineering is at the heart of a worldwide lab operations team providing 24x7 lab access, service and solutions support in multiple locations. Independent and flexible, team members are always ready to adapt to the changing daily priorities. They make an impact in all kinds of ways - from installing and maintaining servers and storage equipment within the fast-paced lab computing environment, through to providing top-level technical expertise and support to engineering departmental users. What's more, they work with engineering teams to create hardware configuration test plans in support of software development. Responsibilities: Deploy servers and switches in a fast paced computing environment Ensure lab orderliness, maintain accurate hardware inventory records, and follow best practice procedures for lab operations Ensure proper cable standards for labeling and rack placement Take proactive approach to discover and resolve problems when working on equipment Be resourceful and collaborate with team members when working on projects Coordinate and support power, networking, and cabling requests
