Role Description:

Our prestigious law firm is actively seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney with a specialization in Personal Injury Defense, particularly within the federal court system, including the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-5 years of overall legal practice, with a specific focus on litigation, and 1-2 years of experience in federal court.

1. Litigation Management:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of personal injury defense matters in federal court, concentrating on cases within the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
  • Develop and implement effective litigation strategies, overseeing all aspects of case management, from case analysis and motion practice to discovery and trial preparation.

2. Legal Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research on relevant federal laws, regulations, and precedent to support case arguments and strategies.
  • Analyze and interpret statutes, rulings, and legal opinions to provide accurate and timely advice to clients.

3. Client Interaction:

  • Maintain regular and effective communication with clients, keeping them informed about case developments, strategies, and potential outcomes.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather necessary information and evidence for case preparation.

4. Court Appearances:

  • Represent clients in federal court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and other appearances in the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
  • Prepare and file legal documents, pleadings, and motions required for court proceedings.

5. Negotiation and Settlement:

· Engage in settlement negotiations when appropriate, working towards achieving favorable outcomes for clients while upholding the highest ethical standards.

6. Collaboration and Teamwork:

  • Collaborate effectively with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal staff to ensure the seamless execution of legal strategies and provide comprehensive client services.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the Florida State Bar and admission to practice in the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of overall legal practice with a strong focus on litigation.
  • 1-2 years of specific experience practicing in federal court, preferably with a focus on personal injury defense.
  • Proven success in managing and litigating federal cases, including trials and hearings.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic legal environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100.00 - $130.00 per year
