Teksky is Hiring an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist Near Aiken, SC

Job Title: “EHS Specialist”

Location: Aiken, SC

The successful candidate for this role will enjoy working independently to address site environmental and safety concerns and enjoy sharing their results with leadership and plant employees through training and educational opportunities.

Primary responsibilities for this role include:

  • Implementing and continuously improving environmental health and safety protocols within the production facility including ensuring all permitting and required sampling stays up to date and within guidelines.
  • Providing site specific training on EPA and OSHA guidelines to plant staff
  • Working with internal and external stakeholders, including Engineering and Leadership, to design and implement safety system meeting federal, state, and local guidelines.
  • Project management to include follow up actions from site audits, root cause analyses, and external audits with acceptable results by provided deadlines.
  • Acting as site safety expert in environmental compliance initiatives.

Essential skills and experience for this role include:

  • Bachelor's Degre in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or related field
  • 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environmental or safety-based role.
  • Proficiency in EPA and OSHA guidelines required.
  • Environmental or Safety based certifications strongly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem solving, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of work time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
