TekGroup is Hiring an Assembly Line Worker Near Farwell, MI

  • Line assembly – insert components into molds prior to foam pour
  • Mold – using pneumatic hand tools to wax molds
  • Demold – use hand tools and scrub pads to remove debris from molds for next foam pour
  • Audit & Repair – Audit parts for defects, using pneumatic grinder and hand tools for repairs
  • Packing – preparing, packing and labeling of product for shipment

Job duties:

  • If demolding: Removes finished foam seating pads from their molds, places parts on a conveyer for the next stage of the finishing process and removes any obvious foam particles from the molds.
  • If waxing: Removes any obvious foam particles from molds and applies a thin layer of demolding agent (aerosol wax) to the surface of the molds.
  • Demolding: 1. Removes molded foam seat pads from molds. 2. Places part on conveyer for next stage of finishing process. 2. Cleans any foam particles and/or wax buildup from the molds. 3. Informs supervisor and line technician of process problems underfills, wax burns, etc.
  • If Waxing: Able to operate and properly calibrate aerosol wax gun Must be proficient in knowledge and application of all applicable standards and work instructions pertaining to the specific parts assigned.
  • Waxing: 1. Cleans foam particles and/or wax buildup from molds 2. Applies spray wax to the mold surfaces 3. Notifies supervisor and line technician of process problems
  • If Repairing: Specific Duties All positions clean work area during periods of downtime and at the conclusion of shift and perform various duties assigned by supervisor.

Trimming:

  • Removes all ribbon vents and uncontrolled flash on parting line that is greater than 25mm using scissors or air trimmer tool.
  • Inspects parts for the following defects. a. Flash not trimmed off. b. Hard spots on the parting line. c. Under fills d. Foam free areas
  • Safety glove must be worn on opposite hand.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $15.00 - $15.75 per hour

  • Manufacturing: 3 years (Preferred)
