Job Description:

The Hoover Institute is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic project manager to provide support for a new initiative launching at the Hoover Institution. This will be a 6-month engagement, and a remote work opportunity *ideally for someone based in the Bay Area and/or on the west coast.

Reflecting on 40 years of education reform and school improvement initiatives since the release of A Nation at Risk, Hoover K-12 Education is embarking on new research and data collection efforts. We are aiming to summarize forty years of efforts to improve our schools, define the imminent challenges facing K-12 education systems, and advance workable models for solving our nation's education crisis.

The project manager will work with our Hoover K-12 team to create and manage project plans for the various workstreams associated with data collection, research initiatives, production and release of academic papers and research reports, and in-person and remote group meetings.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience or combination of education, training, and relevant experience. Advanced degree may be required for some programs. Program administration and or research experience may be required. Demonstrated oral, written, and analytical skills, exhibiting fluency in area of specialization. Familiarity with K-12 Education Ability to oversee and provide basic direction to staff.
