Job Title: Structured Cabling/Low Voltage Technician

Location: Memphis TN 38131

Start Time: 7:00 AM

Start Date: ASAP (as soon as tomorrow)

Duration: 2 months, with large potential for extension

Scope of Work:
The Structured Cabling/Low Voltage Technician will be responsible for horizontal and backbone cabling installations throughout various job sites within the Memphis metro area. The scope includes but is not limited to:

• Installing, terminating, and testing copper and fiber optic cabling systems
• Following blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to complete installations accurately
• Troubleshooting and resolving cabling issues as they arise
• Adhering to industry standards and best practices for cabling installations
• Working collaboratively with the lead technicians provided by ECG Inc.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting site surveys to assess cabling needs and requirements
• Pulling, routing, and labeling cables according to project specifications
• Installing cable supports, conduit, and raceways as necessary
• Testing and certifying installed cabling systems for proper functionality and performance
• Documenting work performed, including as-built drawings and test results
• Communicating effectively with project leads and other team members

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in structured cabling or low voltage installations
• Familiarity with industry standards such as TIA/EIA and BICSI
• Proficiency in cable termination techniques for copper and fiber optic cables
• Ability to use testing equipment such as cable testers, OTDRs, and power meters
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical diagrams and instructions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
