We are seeking a Quality Inspector for our Seguin, Texas Plant.

Position Summary:

This position inspects and audits the product, develops, tests, documents, supports and promotes quality improvement of the operation. This position will report to the Quality Engineer and work closely with the Production Control/ Materials department.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Conduct Product Audits
  • Keep audit records according to inspection plans.
  • Generate Non-Conformity Reports in case of finding Non-Conforming Products.
  • Release products that meet Inspection requirements
  • Bring reports of readings and measurements made to products.
  • Report on audit findings in cases of non-conformities.
  • Production support in quality criteria
  • Perform GR&R
  • Monitoring and control of MRB and scrap
  • Support for receiving and shipments (dock audits)
  • Support in the implementation of process improvements
  • Follow up on the instructions defined by the Quality Engineer.
  • Work collectively to solve problems.
  • Record retention compliance.
  • Basic knowledge in testing concepts, tools and methodologies
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints (product drawings)
  • Knowledge of basic-relevant file formats
  • Ability to recognize quality defects and determine next steps: seriousness of issue, containment activities and countermeasure.
  • Create and revise systems and procedures by analyzing operation practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and personnel requirements, implementing change.

Qualifications:

  • Experience on inspection and auditing products preferred.
  • Basic knowledge on measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, pin gauges and measuring tapes preferred.
  • Basic Knowledge of SPC, GR&R preferred.
  • One year of quality systems experience (is a plus).
  • Corrective actions and root cause analysis.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of production safe work practices.
  • Knowledge and able to handle manual of shop tools.
  • High School degree / GED is required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Working Conditions:

Will be required to work within the plant – factory environment where there is some exposure to noise, dust, fiberglass, and heat. Must adhere to PPE requirements as defined in the safety manual when in the manufacturing area.
