Summary: The Systems Engineer works with the Engineer/Cloud team to support the company infrastructure, including servers, storage, and network infrastructure. This position is remote but would prefer that individuals be based out of our corporate offices in Rochester, NY or Conshohocken, PA.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day operational support for the company infrastructure, including servers, storage, and network infrastructure.
• Collaborate with the various IT pillars to design, implement and test new scalable systems.
• Develop automation tools/processes to improve overall department efficiencies leveraging tools such as Power Automate.
• Evaluate new technology offerings and recommend changes to the overall environment.
• Assist in the training and development of fellow department employees.
• Responsible to implement and maintain the various system integrations.
• Implement, maintain, and manage Microsoft Azure services and technologies, including but not limited to AAD, AAD DS, virtual machines, Intune, and SSO.
• Creates and maintains accurate documentation including but not limited to internal SOPs.
• Performs root cause analysis on issues escalated to the position.
• Develops and maintains cooperative and positive relationships with all employees.
• Resolves tier 2 incidents and requests as assigned from the company ticketing system.
• Collaborates with the IT security team to ensure the appropriate level of security is implemented across all systems.
• Travel to sites when needed - about 10%

• 4-year college degree preferred.
• 7-10 years of related IT experience supporting MS Windows based systems.
• 5 years’ experience implementing and supporting MS Azure.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Analytical skills to evaluate solutions, billing, costs, and reports.
• Solid understanding and related experience with virtualization technologies.
• Proficient with PowerShell and other scripting platforms.
• Strong work ethic and a strong desire to take ownership of incidents and requests.
• Certifications a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills, creative thinking, and innovation.
