TEEMA Solutions is Hiring a Radiology Technician (X-ray Tech) Near Rapids, IA

  • Location: Iowa City

  • Contract: 6-month with possible extension

  • Travel Pay Package: $2,262 total gross weekly

  • Local Pay Rate: $53/hr

  • Responsibilities:

    • Performing radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations

    • Prioritizing patient care for urgent requests

    • Reviewing patient labs and medical history

    • Administering contrast material

    • Safely positioning patients for imaging procedures

    • Adhering to guidelines, protocols, and infection control standards

    • Conducting various procedures including G.I. examinations, tomography, cholangiograms, etc.

    • Operating diagnostic equipment and processing film plates

    • Maintaining section stock items and supplies

    • Continuing education to stay current with industry techniques

    • Providing professional interactions with patients, visitors, and colleagues

    • Protecting sensitive data and utilizing relevant software

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in English

  • Certification in general radiologic technology by ARRT (R)

  • Completion of a 24-month training course in diagnostic radiologic technology

  • Compliance with credentialing standards

  • Maintenance of certification

  • Passing a pre-employment physical examination

  • Mandatory participation in influenza and COVID-19 vaccination programs
