Tectonic Engineering Consultants, Geologists & Land Surveyors, D.P.C. is Hiring an Environmental Project Manager Near Mountainside, NJ

Tectonic is currently seeking a full-time Environmental Project Manager to work on various projects based out of our Mountainside, NJ Office. This is a great opportunity for continued professional growth and development in the A/E/C industry!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Day to day project management of various environmental and geological projects;
  • Technical project planning and coordination and advancement of various projects of varying complexity, including interaction with clients and contractors throughout all phases of the project;
  • Assist in establishing and monitoring schedules and budgets as they relate to assigned projects;
  • Develop client relationships to drive consistency, efficiency, and financial results, and collaborate with company resources as needed to provide additional services;
  • Assist in providing ongoing supervision and training of staff;
  • Conduct preliminary research, provide regulatory consultations, perform project specific field studies and environmental inspections, and coordinate various investigations, delineations, and monitoring, as well as all other related services as required;
  • Use working knowledge of the SRRA, the ISRA, the Brownfields & Spill Acts, plus the UST Act and interpret site administrative and technical remediation rules, as well as understanding guidance to develop and review technically-compliant, concise work plans and phase reports;
  • Perform rigorous interpretations of environmental and geological data;
  • Assist with business development activities, including proposal preparation;
  • All other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • NJ Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) or ability to obtain LSRP in a reasonable period is strongly preferred;
  • Minimum of 6 years of related experience in performing the essential functions listed above, with a minimum of 2 years of project management experience;
  • Must possess a BS Degree or equivalent in Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or similar;
  • Understanding of contaminant F&T, aquifer analysis, PA, SI, and RI studies;
  • Must have exemplary written and oral communication skills, as well as outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to represent the Company in a professional manner;
  • Must have strong demonstrable organizational and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, as well as ability to utilize various software programs, time reporting systems, and other related computer applications;
  • Requires a valid, acceptable driver’s license and personal vehicle to travel to meetings and sites as needed.

PAY RANGE

Tectonic’s goal is to compensate employees fairly and equitable across all positions Companywide. Our advertised pay ranges are representative of our good faith effort to provide a reasonable anticipated salary range. The offered pay may be outside of the provided salary range based upon the selected candidate’s work location, experience, education, certifications, and capabilities compared to the advertised position.

Pay Range: $95,000 - $120,000 / year
